Eastwood Mandocaster
Eastwood Mandocaster, opinons? I was looking at getting one just wondering if anyone who had one had any praise or dislike of the instrument. I am thinking of using it for everything form rock to jazz to classical.Or if anyone has any suggestions for another electric mandolin in a similar price range?
thank you,
Liam

Re: Eastwood Mandocaster
I like them, some people here have played/owned/formerly owned them.
Two pickups gives you some options.
I went with an Epiphone Mandobird because I found one I liked for a great price & had the cash at the time.
I wasn't set on a solidbody electric mandolin, but wasn't opposed to one either
However the Mandobirds are discontinued so it would probably be easier to find the Eastwood one.
My inout would be to try it out & see how you like it-some don't like them at all, others love them--if I had found a deal on a Mandocaster like the one I found on the Mandobird--who knows--maybe that's what I'd be playing.

Re: Eastwood Mandocaster
I like mine alot , but I also have a mandobird 4 & 8, Kentucky , a fender plus more, I think they all play well with a good setup and all sound good, but alot of people upgrade the pickups, if you like the tele shape go for it

Re: Eastwood Mandocaster
I prefer 4 string electric for jazz vs 8 string. You could always just string it as a 4 string. The dual pickup is nice and gives you a lot of options. I like the 4 string Eastwood Mandostang. With a modeler pedal, you can get plenty of good sounds from it as well, even with the single pickup.
