New to the electric world...
Hey all,
with my Apollonio 'zouk back at the shop, my Mixter 10 string mandola still being built (after 2+ years) and not wanting to even play my ukulele, I took the plunge on what is an Eastwood Mandocaster:

I couldn't find any references to one being built in this gorgeous translucent cherry red, and there's no branding on the headstock either. Looking forward to getting her and running her through her paces on this Yamaha THR5a acoustic amp:

I'll resist buying pedals or further effects, as the amp has enough fun stuff on it (even though it's technically an acoustic amp), although the idea of overdriving/wah-wah'ing my way through some of the Celtic standards is oddly appealing.
Cheers!

Interesting.....Looks handsome. Did you buy it new? ......Usually, the pickups are some kind of cheapo - never seen blades fitted as standard :)

Give the effects a try! They’re a lot of fun on Celtic stuff. But, as I was warned and choose to ignore, PAS is a thing and addictive. Either that or mine are breeding

Bought used off Reverb - it doesn't seem to be an Eastwood at all; not sure what the pups are, but for sure not the standard fare found on these types. What really sold me was the finish - that translucent cherry just screamed "BUY ME!" :mandosmiley:

I'm looking at a Line 6 pod (used) - has tons of effects, should save some $$ on buying distinct pedals. I'm sure looking forward to the explorations!
