My last build : a tribute to the Telecaster
Hi folks,
It's been a long time since I've not posted here, but it's never too late to do right.
Last time, I had built a Less Paul like 5 strings octave, this time I made a 4 strings Telecaster like.
Here below are some pics, but it's described in details on my web site, there's a video and some sound clips + some details of the making, I know some of you here enjoy it.
It's here for the article, please check it out : www.labellenote.fr
Please, be indulgent with my poor playing, I think I am a better builder than a player ...
Tell me what you think about it !
Cheers,
Christophe

Integrated wireless capability? Now there's an idea whose time has come!

Yes ! That's very convenient, because on these little instruments, you hold them quite forward on your lap, and the cable can be annoying.

Very nice! Especially the integrated tech. I've been dreaming of cutting the cable.

A string ferrule with a division separating the 2 strings, in my 8 string budget Korean Fender FM61
would be super. as is they jam together so 1 string breaks you have to slack the other & replace both ..
notably the E's.

I think Leo would have liked it.Maybe in candy Apple red.

You scared me. I know (or assume) that English is not your first language, but i think you mean your latest build, unless you are planning to never build again. In any case, it is very nice both in looks and sound.

Oups Jim, you are right, in French we say the same for both meanings, yes, of course I meant my latest.
I don't know if I can fix the title of a topic ?
Re: My last build : a tribute to the Telecaster
Oh man, I love it. Very nicely done!
Re: My last build : a tribute to the Telecaster
Nice instrument !
Nicely done. Why did you choose ashwood (frêne) ? For the beauty of the wood or some acoustic properties ?
And why didn't you swap the white plastic toggle from the selector with a wooden one ?
The white plastic toggle is the only piece of your mando which isn't made from "noble material"...
