Extra credit! What's this song? It sounds familiar, but I can't name it
I don't recognize the first one but the second one with LRB is called Rebecca, a Herschel Sizemore good 'un.
Chilly Winds Of Shannon, a Bill Monroe tune that Bill recorded on Jimmy Campbell’s recording Pieces Of Time. That was one of Bill’s last recording sessions.
It's a Monroe tune for sure. I'll have to look through my recordings to find it. I'll be right back;)
Sorry, I should have read Andy B's post!
Skip Gorman has a nice version of it!

Is the song he starts playing at about 1:12 the same as the one in the first post?
Ok actually the bit of song I had stuck in my head that I mentioned in the OP was actually old ebenezer scrooge, which I now want to learn
Old Ebenezer Scrooge is one of the best tunes Monroe wrote.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5vvPJDgvco&t The first time through each part is fairly true to the way it was written.
I actually just saw that video earlier. Nice picking on it!
