Soluet #1: A Town with an Ocean View - Joe Hisaishi(+Sheet Music)
This is the first installment in a series of mandolin/mandola solo-duets that I'm hoping to release semi-regularly (weekly/fortnightly). This piece was really easy to arrange from the solo piano score, almost as if it was meant for a mandolin duet and it also sounds really lovely at a slightly slower tempo than the symphonic version.
I have the next few pieces lined up already, but suggestions are always welcome for future videos. I'm hoping to stick to things that aren't often played on the mandolin or well known themes that I can arrange.
I got the mandola a few weeks ago and I'm slowly adjusting to the longer scale length.

I hope you enjoy.

This is fine stuff. Thanks for posting.
What are the two instruments you are playing?

Thanks Bill. I'm playing a newly acquired Suzuki MD-4 mandola and my trusty Custom Lawrence K. Smith F5 mandolin. Both have Thomastik Infeld strings on them.
