The Brewster Brothers, "I'll Be Happy in My Home"
First off, I'll bet a dollar that AlanN can answer this one.
The old Rounder "Early Days of Bluegrass" series on LP, Volume 2 (the yellow one with a very young Frank Wakefield in the middle on the cover) has the Brewster Brothers' "I'll Be Happy in My Home".

I have looked online for the lyrics and have had no luck. There is not a whole lot to be found on The Brewster Brothers, and I think that I've read it all. But no lyrics for this song.
Does anyone know (or can figure out) the lyrics in the third line of the chorus? The fidelity on my old LP (1976, I think) is no better than what's on YouTube:

Here's what I get:
Golden mansions by the millions,
angels singing 'round the throne,
something something something something ???
I'll be happy in my home.
(Banjo break.)
I recall the time that Jesus saved me.
He heard my meek and humble prayer.
'Twas then the time I had a vision,
and this is what I saw up there.
Golden mansions by the millions...
(Mandolin break.)
One night I dreamed I went to heaven.
I saw Jesus first of all.
And then I went to meet my loved ones,
and this is part of what I saw.
Golden mansions by the millions...
I wish that Rounder would release this entire series (9 LPs?) on clean CDs. Nice mandolin break by Willie Brewster on this one.
Re: The Brewster Brothers, "I'll Be Happy in My Home"
Can't nobody, nohow, figure out that third line?
Re: The Brewster Brothers, "I'll Be Happy in My Home"
I'll live there for endless ages.....

Them boys don't talk so good, but RichieK done got it, yessir...
That early style bluegrass has something to it that just sounds so cool - dated, but cool! I figure FW was ~ 23 in that photo.
And Cornelius...thanks, but I don't know everything :mandosmiley:

It sounds like "I'll live there for endless ages".
Thanks for posting that; I wasn't familiar with those guys!
Re: The Brewster Brothers, "I'll Be Happy in My Home"
Sorry to be redundant; I didn't see RitchieK's post.
Re: The Brewster Brothers, "I'll Be Happy in My Home"
RickieK and Skip: thanks. Now that I listen to it again, of course that's it.
Alan: you're wrong.
