Coppelia Mazukas
Hi i have been looking for the the Coppelia Mazurkas online and i was wondering if they are written for mandolin ,i have seen them written for piano and flute but not for mandolin .
I listened to the Muzurka on the radio the other day and thought it would sound great on mandolin ,has anyone come across the sheet music for mandolin and where could one get it thanks.

Re: Coppelia Mazukas
You can read the melody line from this very simple piano sheet (from 8notes.com). Otherwise, I would look for violin music. I did find a string quartet arrangement for sale here.

Re: Coppelia Mazukas
There is a little more advanced melody of this same Mazurka for violin here. You need Scorch to read it but you can also play the midi to hear it.

Re: Coppelia Mazukas
My daughters both studied ballet and this piece is very often played in rehearsal in their ballet school by a pianist, so I have heard it many times.
I would think that it would sound wonderful arranged for mandolin and guitar. I may look for such an arrangement or try one myself. The mandolin would be wonderful esp using those pianistic ornaments.
I love mazurkas of every kind: classical, Polish, Italian, Irish, etc. Wonderful stuff.
