Land's End
String Cheese tune. Anyone know if it's original or if it comes from something else (like how they play a tune they called "Rivertrance" but it's actually Cooley's Reel? Does anyone have music for it?
Here it is by SCI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUQYTfbvLtw
Here it is covered by Tim O'Brien: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5zJJ3qzFyo

Re: Land's End
String Cheese are the one's covering Land's End--it's a Tim O'Brien Song.

It's also laid out in Tim's instructional book he did for RidgeRunner long ago.

Re: Land's End
It's also in the Mandozine archive. I've loved this tune since I first heard it on a Laurie Lewis album back in the 80's. TimO's done it several times on different albums he's been on, always very cool. The last one I know of is on Cornbread Nation with some Irish musicians, that's my fav. When I found the tab on Mandozine I tackled it. For me it's a very tricky piece, especially the 3rd part. I'm not sure if he's doing another tune at the end in that vid the OP of TimO, or if he's come up with a variation. It's also in the vs on Cornbread. He makes it sound so easy(like he always does) and it just ties my fingers in knots.

Re: Land's End
Thanks very much! I've been listening to this for years and always thought it was an SCI tune. Thanks for straightening that out for me. One of my favorites as well.
