Man, I wish I could figure out some harmony lines like that. I understand the concept, but actually doing it....
Glorious. Is that Marc M on the right?
Going in, I expected to like the newer one better. I liked the bass on the older one more. May have been due to the stylistic way he played it, however.
I've played the 1984 retopped Duff when it used to be at Dusty Strings several years ago(Unless it is another very early retopped Duff). I was not very impressed, but Tyler sure knows how to make it sing.
I met Tyler Andal at the Montana Old Time Fiddlers Camp a couple of years ago where he was a fiddle instructor. That young man is a fine fiddler and can beat the tar out of a banjo, guitar or mandolin. He is very impressive.
Dang, I really want to be able to do that. Either/both of that...
Wow! Yes both are awesome, maybe the newer in a tight race, excellent playing! RF
Smoking! Lp
Very, very nice! Thanks for posting.
Anyone wanna buy a mandolin? :)
Anyone know the name of this tune?? Marc is one of my favorite pickers, and a really nice guy, as well.
Sounds like Big Mon (at the core of it anyway)
Thanks Flatrock! Can’t believe I didn’t know that.. ha
The video is great, but it not very fair.
Those two guys would shred that fast on a $35 cigar box mandolin just as well, and I didn't see anyone picking that good at Loarfest last weekend!
'It ain't just about the mandolin ....;)
Is that a transparent acoustic guitar hanging on the wall in between them?
I haven't seen one of those.
I could gladly take either home, but then I’d have to realize I would sound just like me.
