Just got this and it plays and sounds good.Neck was a little chunky.Took care of that.Pickups really work.Tone and volume need improvement.Small body but I like it better than the Ricky or Fender 8 string.

Funny i bought one also , I've been busy and haven't messed with it. I say them on eBay and i offered $111.11 and it was acpteped. I'll tru it late or tomorrow and get back
you've got your alliterations mixed up - it's either
- The Mighty Mozart, or
- The Cool Cozart
;)
Grabbed one last night because why not. Haven't given in to MAS in a while. Tried an offer like Darryl's and got rejected. Added 4 bucks the next go-around and it'll be here Saturday. But was it really the 'last one' as advertised? Who cares!
I spend many a late-night hour just jamming on the Mandobird and wanted an 8 string to be able to better replicate acoustic practice without the booming volume of my NF or Flatiron. Plus, I'm an electric player at heart even when I deny it, so there's lots of fun to be had regardless. Sure, I could have spent 3 X's as much for an Eastwood of slightly better quality, but long as I can set it up to be playable, plus it's not something I ever plan on gigging, for just over a $100 it will be worth it. Unless I mod the hell out of it and make it into a beast.
I'll post pics and reviews once I've have a chance to dig in.

I am using the Cozart with my electric band.(Guitar, bass and drums)It sounds better than my Mandostrat and have sold it.Buying a Dillion. The pickups work and no weak strings.
I have my Flatiron and Kentucky for acoustic. Will never buy a four string again.
I picked up a DSEM 008 (335 style) with a gig bag. Be prepared to spend some cash on a decent bridge and a good set up.
Also, the pickup is passive. I find it a bit underwhelming. Sure, the push/pull pot makes some difference, but nothing like it the Wild Bill L45S did on the Kentucky.
Following, mine should show up today. Looking forward to hearing what others have done. I like the idea of shaving the neck.
Curious about strings?
Neck is pretty chunky but it doesn't really bother me and I usually prefer a thinner one. My thumb mostly rides the top of the neck so the shape is less of a factor than navigating the wide, flat fretboard.
Strings that come on it are absolute trash. Nearly unplayable and will stain your fingertips. Went out the next day and bought two packs of medium GHS Boomers since I found them locally at GC for $5. Used the .11, .15, .26, and .36. They work really well for getting used to the mando. Will probably go back to my usual D'Addarios some day.
Sound is meh and not very loud, but that's all on the cheap pups and I'll be upgrading them eventually so it's not a big concern. Bridge could also use an upgrade but I was able to get good action and intonation so that's less of a priority.

So are the strings ball end or loop?? Bummer mine didn't show today~~but the MAS kicked in and I now have a Gibson Oval showing up soon~~~shhhh! don't tell wifey!!!
thanks in advance
Bought one very similar a while back but badged "Clearwater" . Since I had a request for some pickups, I thought it might make a useful addition to my range of upgrades........Not my best decision as the Clearwater was hideous (and around £200).....Terrible paint job, old bar type tailpiece, massive ungainly headstock and curious electrics that seemed to feature a cheapo acoustic guitar preamp......still in bits in my cellar as I can`t think of a decent way to recycle it :(
Hey Pete,I gogelled Clearwater Mandolin and you came up with the photo.I would say they are the same with different finish.Mine was in good shape and the bridge and pickups worked.I did a little fret file and shaved the neck and it played fine.My chords were in tune.I have since sold it after buying a nice Dillion 8 string electric.I do play through a Quilter amp and everything sounds good.Banjo,12 string acoustic, blues harp, acoustic mandolin, and even electric guitar.I keep three instruments plugged in when I’m at a gig and never have to touch the amp.
I think you'd be better off building a kit from Saga instead of rebuilding a not so great finished EM.
Something like the Saga MT-10 Electric Mandolin Kit. You can get it for like $200 and upgrade the pickup for $50 and have a way better instrument. I'd probably upgrade the bridge to a tele-style too.
Best, Stevo
Saga kit sucks
