The Coastal Kid: Musician Jared Pool (The Larry Keel experience)

Greetings!
I am a filmmaker and musician based out of Richmond, VA. I just finished this short film on local folk/bluegrass musician Jared Pool of The Larry Keel Experience.

This was a passion project so everyone involved was in it for the love. There is some really great footage of Jared killing it on his mandolin which was made by Scott Carey who is located in Culpeper, VA.

I lived in North Carolina in the early 00’s and used to see LKE quite a bit. I honestly haven’t been keeping up with what he’s been doing the past few years. Coincidentally, a few days ago I was watching a Billy String’s video and after it was over a LKE video from Asheville popped up and it featured none other than Jared Pool on mandolin! And then I came across your film the next day! Larry always finds great players to play with and Jared is no exception. Jared obviously has the knowledge of and respects the tradition, but is willing to experiment and try something new to expand it. My kinda a player!
