Thank you Scott and Dan!
Hi Scott (and Dan), thanks for all your work in keeping this forum going and the effort the last few days must have been.
I haven't been a member here for long but have been visiting for at least 10 years, it's a wonderful resource you have created.
Hope you can rest for a while now!

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Yay! The best site on the Web is back. Thanks, gents.
Was worth a shot, I guess, and sometimes there's only one way to know for sure. Thanks for picking up the pieces.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Ditto!!!
Scott and Dan, a wonderful recovery. Sorry for all the difficult times required in order to get here again.
Implementations can be horribly difficult, and as you've experienced, once you get into the new system, you may wish you weren't there at all. My career specialty was healthcare systems, and I could tell you some stories... While this was a horrible experience for you, you kept it from being a horrible experience for your user community: us. And we appreciate that enormously.
A huge thank you again for keeping us alive here!!!

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
I was truly sad at the prospect of losing this forum. Thanks a million for pressing on.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
You provide a great service and unique value to the mandolin community. It is sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Thanks for your passion for mandolins and music and this website.
I have no clue how bad it was for you but I do sincerely appreciate that you've gone through hell and come back to make this wonderful community work again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
+1 here... I tried to shoot you a note of encouragement, Scott. But not sure if it made it through with all of the change overs ... I know you guys had a lot of trouble and ultimately it turned out differently than expected. But we all know you had the best interest of the whole community in mind and we all appreciate how hard you guys work for us. ... Maybe with the forum being out of commission we actually spent more time actually playing our mandolins :))
We appreciate you guys!

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
I wholeheartedly agree. It was a great decision and much-appreciated good work to do the rollback and get this fantastic forum back online. Thank you.
I, for one, was never unhappy with the old forum experience. There are obviously many things on the provider side that I have no idea about, but the user experience has been great for me. One of the few small niggles was the absence of a top-level link to blogs and social groups, which Scott has just added. Everything's good.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Wholeheartedly agree. This must have been a stressful time for Scott and Dan the last few days. I am glad you guys stuck it out and got the forum back online. This forum is a great resource and as semi-beginner I would have really missed it

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Yay, its back! So very sorry for all the trouble Scott and Dan had to go thru, so very happy the Cafe is back up and running. I abandoned all social media last year and this is the only site I visit regularly...well, ok...several times a day. Its a great place and I thank Scott and Dan and all the mods and everyone who makes this a great place to hang out.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Many thanks. Now, you can sleep (I hope). I'm happy with the Forum as it stands.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Agree with the above, Many thanks. Murphys law I guess. Now that it's back in the original version I think I like it better. What did they say about an old dog and new tricks.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Thanks for all the hard work, lost sleep and gained ulcers. We all appreciate your commitment to the users.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
I finally found a way to stay off the Mandolin Cafe. Give me no choice.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Cheers Scott and Dan for everything that you do - much appreciated!

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Truly a treasured website, I love it just as it is, if it ain't broke....And what an amazing world where Dan did so much from his houseboat near London.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
I am a newbie, and this is my first post. I enjoy this website very much. Earlier, either Scott or Dan alluded to the reason for the site being down was due a financial issue. It takes money to keep this site up and running. I am going to make a donation and I encourage everyone to do the same. Click on the "donate" button at the top.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Good work guys. I can't imagine the work involved.
I have a little taste however. I have worked on big engineering projects, but not IT projects. And I have had to revert to a plan B when at the last minute deep flaws were revealed. And yes, all this in front of our clients, acting like six year olds "are we there yet, are we there yet?" Some of the most stressful times I can remember.
Congratulations to Scott and Dan and all those involved.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Yes, thank you both. I know of no other community website that seems to run well. That it seems to is a testament to how well Mr. T. and crew do their jobs behind the scenes. And, yes, please consider making a donation if you can. If enough of us make a small donation it could really add up quickly and help with lost costs and provide some compensation for all the recent headaches and hard work.

Re: Thank you Scott and Dan!
Scott and Dan, you two are the best. I really appreciate all you do for us. Sorry this didn't work out, but sooooo glad to have the forum back. I love it just as it is, but if it makes you happy, keep tweaking away!
Best wishes,
Bob
