just don't leave your pick on that pickguard...
What gets me is the amount of work "Trader Bob" put into "restoring" it. That pick guard, and the matching multi-hued plastic headstock overlays -- front and back -- weren't on the Armenian original; the seller installed them, after putting new tuning pegs on -- and thickening and re-drilling the headstock to accommodate them! He also installed a new pickup jack. Considering all that work, the buy-it-now's a bargain -- if one wanted it at all! And, why would one?
Perhaps, to be the only owner of an Armenian electric mandolin in your town. Whatever that's worth.
What a beautiful mandolin.
Is it left handed?
The seller just needs to add that it’s being sold by Django Reinhardt’s grandson -that would add a couple of thousand to the price.
was it signed by lloyd loar?
So there's something worse coming from Armenia than the Kardashians, then? Good to know. Good. To. Know.
I am a total sucker for stuff like that. Comes under the heading of "So bad it is good".
Now I am wondering if the neck is straight.
The last thing I needed the first thing this morning......
Just to confirm, for the avoidance of doubt, I am not the seller and have no financial interest.
For which, no doubt, you are thanking your lucky stars.
To answer someone's question, these look like they should be left-handed but they are not, although I imagine they could be set up lefty. They're from the Soviet era and made at the Yerevan Musical Instrument Factory.
Looks like a used toilet lid with ablam. :)
