Tony Williamson's 2019 IBMA vintage instruments session
Tony and his Loar led another excellent session this year. Joining him for 2019 were Terry Baucom (banjo), Will Jones (guitar), Tatiana Hargreaves (fiddle), and Tom Gray (bass).
Here's the first tune. You'll find links to the others below.

Great stuff! Was that that worn Virziectomy Dec. 1st 1924 Loar he was playing? Curiosity is always on my mind!

Great seeing and hearing Tom Gray. Thanks for posting.

Tom is one of the best! His work with the two best groups that helped bring bluegrass back to the forefront the Country Gents and Seldom Scene! It all can't be duplicated or beat!
Re: Tony Williamson's 2019 IBMA vintage instruments session
Great music. Loar has “it.”
Yes, Tom Gray, IMHO, is the standard by which all grass(other genres too) bass players are measured. When great bassists emerge you soon hear “is he/she as good as Tom Gray?”
Thanks for posting all of those.
