Us newbies are cracking on ;)
Sorry if this contravenes the rules........just want to get our work out there .... For a few years as regulars are aware, I`ve made emandos and pickups but of late, have had to retire due to luthieritis (failure to work smart and thereby destroy hand control)....but have recently got pals with a guy who does some rather classy work......so Belvoir Guitars and Almuse = Belmuse ....please have a look and help us out with comments....what you like...don`t like....wish lists.....As a new venture, we`d really appreciate some input. Thanks

Just throwing in ideas, hope this helps,
yours, benevolently :)
REALLY nice looking guitars, guys.
The advertising with naked women certainly got me thinking about sex and not looking at the guitars. Problem is that they’re nice looking guitars!
The other contentious bit was mentioning God in one of the other advertising shots. Is this part of a plan?
There’s something a bit Working Class about all the photos together, nice, wholesome, a bit Pink Floyd, local garage but I’m not sure what your marketing strategy/plan for mandolins says about that. How are you going to lead the revival?
Wear hats for photos.
Don’t look like your having so much fun, Art is painful. Ha, ha.
Get a couple of bands (girl rock maybe) to write some hits played with your mandolins, pay everyone involved using post Brexit-new UK/Britain whatever dream/revival finance. Could be really cool.
Build a few mandolin versions of the guitars straight away, and it’s plain sailing.
I’d actually like to see a strange looking harlequin small ukulele bass tuned in fifths. Not sure if they’d be popular though.
Norfolk is nice, Good luck!
Re: Us newbies are cracking on ;)
Thanks for the input (I agree totally about the sex thing.....bit odd that)!!!!!
As for hats, Clive might be persuaded but personally, I like fresh air around my turret to stop my brain overheating ;)
Re: Us newbies are cracking on ;)
I find the Page 3 shots distracting too. The instruments are porn enough! I could stare at them for hours. Sorely tempted to ask for a 5 string telecaster shape with 15" scale length!

Re: Us newbies are cracking on ;)
Just a note guys, this is a family forum. There are younger children and women that are members here. When a post starts with "Sorry if this contravenes the rules" you generally already know it does. If you'd want your 9 year old daughter or your mother to read posts like this maybe it's time to read more and post less.
Re: Us newbies are cracking on ;)
I thought all the skin cheapened the company image and was unprofessional (unless your company is selling porn, perhaps). (By the way, did you get these background pictures legally? Serious businesses are careful about copyright issues.)
I was intrigued by the mandolin in the spray booth. I'm not generally interested in electric mandolins but this one looked interesting.
The boast about the 320 square foot facility made me laugh.
Re: Us newbies are cracking on ;)
Pete’s woes aside; i find the images on the facebook page insulting and distasteful. It is not the 1970s anymore chaps. Better advertising is brought by taking decent photos that just sell the guitar, not some random lass who’s probably young enough to be our kid/grandkid.
Sorry. It’s a strong opinion... love you all as always

What`s so funny about that (unless you`re suggesting the workshop is too small) ? ;)

I'm not saying it's too small (I don't build instruments but I still wish I had a work area that large!), but in comparison to many manufacturing businesses, 320 square feet is tiny, so seeing it noted as an advertising highlight was funny to me. :) Best of luck to you!

Sorry for any offense......here`s a flesh free link (and I think Clive`s taken my as well as the rest of your comments on board....or at least, I hope so ) ..... https://www.belvoirguitars.co.uk/belmuse and just in case you`re interested, here`s a little video.... https://www.facebook.com/11433111327...3323939469400/ .......2 point Sunburst!

Small is beautiful........less distance to travel between machines......and don`t forget, we`re in the UK........A small island with far too many people and space is at a premium ;)

Since Epiphone stopped making Mandobirds and they were so popular, here`s our take (WIP) ....Attachment 180122
Re: Us newbies are cracking on ;)
Please let me know when you start making 5-string 14.7"-scale Mandobirds... ;)

Well Jim, the regular 4 string `bird is looking promising....can`t wait to crank it up - all three pickups are coil tapped with individual push/pull pots and a 5 position Strat switch......I`m expecting to be a little confused :) :)Attachment 180249

You're killing me with this one. I really like your take on it. What are the dimensions and scale of that instrument?
