Michael Daves - August Residency at Jalopy, Brooklyn, NY

(This doesn't fit in any one genre category, so posting in General.) Here's one of a series of brand new videos that I'm producing for Michael Daves. He's promoting a residency: Sundays in August at Brooklyn's Jalopy Theatre.

Now Kay made a whole lot of these pressed top mandolins, but you don't meet too many pros playing them on stage these days. There must be some Cafe folks who show them some love so don't be intimidated by the nay sayers... and maybe Critter gets tired of playing across the mic from Thile's Loar all the time?

Here's another new one that I just produced from the 2018 show with Chris Eldridge. Warning... no mandolin! But on a positive note... you don't often hear a vintage D-28 up against a plywood Kay Jumbo! Or a low B note in a Stanley Bros guitar duo! Watch for Critter's smile during Michael's break. ;-)
