Is it possible to change the default settings on private messaging? Specifically, can I change the "Sent Items" default so it will automatically save sent messages? I use PM so seldom I keep forgetting to click on that box. And of course I want to save sent messages for future reference ... doesn't everybody? :confused:
There should be an option to set this as a default setting under:
User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification
I'm seeing it's not there for our normal user accounts nor my administrative account. I just verified this as my account on the software support forum has it listed. I'll try to locate why that's not available and reverse that as that setting should be available to everyone.
I've confirmed this is a legitimate bug that happened to be in the software version we're at. Unfortunately, you'll need to check those manually to save an outgoing copy until our upgrade occurs. That option is simply missing in the User CP right now.

Yes, I too thought it was a standard issue option or setting, but I didn't see it. That's why I asked.

Hmm..mine have always saved, I thought. I should check. I wonder if it was set before the bug, does the setting continue to persist?
Dan applied an upgrade to the forum software last night and you should now see that setting in your User CP. We determined there was a bug in our old release that was blocking that. Now corrected. See: Messaging & Notification under Private Messaging. The last item in that section will allow users to select or de-select copies of private messages.Quote:
