I remember reading, quite some time ago, that Max and Lauri were working on the Griffith project. Apparently this from the second batch of two they have made. This is a pretty cool mandolin...

I don't believe that there are going to many of these.
You want to hear it side by side with the actual Griffith?

Is that the actual one that is for sale at the ME?
No that is one of the first ones. It has been played for a little bit, not the one that is currently listed for sale, that one is brand new.
Music Emporium posted this video on the 13th, so I'm assuming that it's the one that is currently listed for sale.

For a comparison, here are the same players a couple of months ago, with the Ellis A that is for sale there, as well.

From what I understand there are four Girouard Griffin models. This includes the one in the Andrew Marlin/Bruce Harvey video, which belongs to Bruce. TME has had two: one they sold a while back, and the one currently listed for sale.
Max has certainly nailed that dry Gibsonesque tone. I don’t expect the one listed for sale at TME is going to last much longer.
My daughter lives in Boston, but I’ve only managed to make it to TME once. Awesome shop! Loving the Griffith based vibe, too…
I should credit Evan Elkin with shooting that video that I shared above. Just FYI.
Curious why more builders don't make Griffith inspired A5s. It's a design that produces superior tone, but hardly anyone makes them. Strange.
Chris Stanley A5s used many Griffith characteristics. Gail Hester, Craig Wilson, and Mark Taylor have made some. Duff and Passernig A5s use the body shape/size but with some changes to put the bridge in the middle of the body. Anyone else making Griffith A5s?
Don,
The A5 that I commissioned from Mike Black was he said based on the Griffith. Got it in 2014 and still happy with it.

Even though the ad is still up in the classifieds, it must have sold. I can find no trace of on the TME website.
Thanks but When I look in "new arrivals", "mandolins", "A style mandolins" and "Girouard mandolins" on the TME website I come up with zero. I just noticed that when I click on the classified ad it says "no matches found."
I believe someone is in the process of purchasing the one at TME.
