Like you said it mightve been a quick fix to sand down the saddle, but being that its brass or w/e it is. Its seems much more difficult to go at the bridge to lower the action

Theres no issue with intonation currently. It actually plays great. The action gets pretty darn high though up the neck unfortunately. and thats just a no no. The next "looks" straight. But at close...
