    Re: Kimble two point reviews?

My Kimble 2-Point, built in 2010, elicits joy every time I pick it up. I’ve owned it for a little over a year. There is something about it that feels just right. I can’t imagine ever parting with it.

I played it for a few minutes today. Seems really well built. Had a nice chop. Overall really nice.

Here are my two. Sitting on the porch waiting on the humidity to go away. Doesn't quite feel like autumn yet.

    Re: SURPRISE!!!... Best Wife ever!!!

There is a Hattie B’s just down the road from Carter’s and Gruhn’s too (Melrose location). Worth a try if you’ve never had Nashville hot chicken. There are a lot of fun things on that same road....
  11. Re: What is the Difference between a $6,000 and $3,000 mandolin?

In all seriousness, part of me wants to take all the different videos that music stores have put up, strip out the audio, and see if honestly we can identify the builders by tone alone.

Ha! It’s a blessing and a curse. Where is this free time you speak of? :)

I would *love* to hear and observe this. The closest I've found are these videos:

  14. Re: So who makes armrests besides McClung and Cumberland?

Dan Voight here in Nashville also makes mandolin armrests. I recently bought one from him and it's great. Probably worth contacting him to see if he could make something like what you're looking for:...

This is what worked for me when I couldn't get the cat smell, and likely cat urine, out of a used guitar case. I tried several commercial pet odor and stain removal products. Even tried scented dryer...

    NMD: Rattlesnake F-5 "Loar"

    Hello,

My search for a great traditional sounding F-5 came to an end this week when I acquired a Rattlesnake F-5 "Loar" mandolin, number 73, made by Olin Davis.

Wanted to take the time to say...
