After three other failed "repairs", I don't know anyone with the proper skill set who would have any desire to try add to the mess. This is one of those conversations where I'd be saying, "That's all...
That's a beautiful bridge, the detail is wonderful.
I'm never sure where to post instruments; since I tend to spend the most time in this area, here goes.
This is one from my personal stash that I don't show off very often.
It is a 2014 model...
Another flat top mandolin, based on Graham McDonald's book but with a 14.75 inch scale length.
Blackwood and spruce, with ebony binding, a tiger myrtle rosette and a bound ebony fingerboard....
Draw a plan!

What about a sunrise sunburst?
Too far, too much, for an a type?

An Indian rosewood and redwood Octave mandolin for a chap in Australia.
This is the first time in ages I've made an instrument that didn't have rocklite binding and ebony head veneers. The...
I keep looking at this and wondering if it is sap coming to the surface as the wood dries. How old is this mandolin?
Here are some pictures of an Embergher model 5 I recently completed in Queensland Blackwood. The curl in the grain is more broken than in maple, so it was hard to get the same continuity of pattern...
The two mandolins for the quartet strung up today. A bit exciting! The mandola and the mandocello will get done next week. They sound quite similar, but with subtle differences. So far, doing what...
A post about a 1920s Stromberg-Voisinet mandolin a few weeks back reminded me that I had traced the body and head outline when I did a bit of work on one a few years ago. So here is perhaps the first...
Then triple that number for the three times it rubbed through the finish and had to be re-done....;)
I really need to raise my prices lol.
Wow! What an estate sale! The first mandolin, the Auburn, is from a West Virginia builder. http://www.unionvalleybluegrass.com/about-us.html
I sold one earlier for the widow of a late friend of...
