Indeed, wonderful tune whether it's 50 or 150 years old.

Re: Mandolin on this British Sitcom?

The whole 3 season series is sublime. Cast, writing, production and the celtic acoustic music is the perfect backdrop. Perfect pandemic binging.

This is right down the street from where I live. To think of how many guitarist played their 1st guitar that was built here is amazing. Sad to see it sit idle with all that history oozing from it....

I sure do get a lot of mileage out of this pic. John Hartford's Mammoth book of fiddle tunes. Should keep you busy for a while.

As much as one has to practice playing fast, I think you also have to practice listening fast.

Re: Speed of bluegrass... is it just me?

The magic is when the masters play fast/difficult but doesn't seem it. Ricky Skaggs, Mark O'Connor, etc. A little clip where I'm working up a Sam Bush bit with a metronome. It's OK-ish, but at the...

    Re: RIP Charley Pride

Sadder is that CMAs held an event a month ago that not only gave him a lifetime achievement award, but most likely the virus too. Be careful folks. This ain't over till the fat lady in a mask sings.

Only the best show ever. British series that ran 3 seasons. Anyone need therapy in these times, get all 3 seasons and binge watch. You'll thank me. There's even a mandolin in an episode.
