    Very funny, sometimes we don't see the whole picture . . . "Not that there's . . ."

    Re: Studying Sam Bush

Let's not forget this tour-de-force project by two legends. The production and performances are so exquisitely perfect. Many of the tunes are great for slowing down and learning. Hartford's Real is...

    Re: Pickguard issue

Took a shot at removing it, and thankfully total success. Started by warming a spot with a hair dryer - when it lifted fairly easily, I kept going slowly. About half the rubbery glue material lifted...

I'll quote myself from earlier post: "Maybe one of those topics that probably should be divided into genres, as the technique, sound and use is so different."

    Re: Tremolo...Which player...

Maybe one of those topics that probably should be divided into genres as the technique, sound and use is so different. For me and my personal tastes, it's Mr. Dawg far above the pack of other greats....

    Re: TSA mandolin incident

Had a similar experience flying with my banjo. The agent screening asked what type of instrument it was, when I told her it was a banjo, I was immediately arrested. :disbelief:

Well, I decided to follow up and share the end of my thread. I was a little reluctant to do so, just for the personal nature of it and for the generous liberties I took to complete my mission. I'll...

Jacob, that is very interesting fact and relevant I would imagine. So I'm testing this by sitting here and quickly wiggling my index & middle (separate tendons) and then wiggling the middle and ring...

Hey Jon - I'm no expert, but in my years of development this is without a doubt true. And I would add to that, that the wrist also should be loosened up. Another little self discovery for me . . ....

Great tune and yes, that boy has some real mitts on him - like Jimi, and this fella from Macon. Best thing is they all know just what to do with 'em!

    Re: Elbow or wrist...

I'd say it's elbow AND wrist. What emphasis, when, why, how?

It's up to every player to decide and that's a beautiful part of music.
