    That was cool! Great suggestions so far. I would say check out the Anthology of American Folk Music. It’s a collection of early 78’s edited by Harry Smith.

    Perhaps less sparse but the new Compton Blake CD "Gallop to Georgia" - the Tunes of Namour and Smith is of similar nature, a lot of the Norman and Nancy Blake and Rising Fawn String Ensemble...
