I think that is awesome that they mention Mr Derrington along with Orville and Lloyd.
I look forward to playing one. I really am excited about that case though. I’ll be looking for one of those when they pop up used.
I’m just excited that they actually matched the color of the interior of the case.
Charlie actually signed quite a few in 2004. Here’s a screenshot of the master model list. I have pictures of a number of these ones labels.

I bought a Gibson Calton and I love it. I’m very pleased that my A4 fits in it also.
Wow. Definitely has the tone and power.
I’ve played 3 of Mr. Halsey’s F5s and they were all magnificent. He is a phenomenal individual all the way around.
I had a 77 that I bought from Tony Williamson when I was 15. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t good by any means. The finish was as thick as a car window.

I’m sure everyone can guess what my choice would be.
I played the prototype Northfield 4.0 that was heading to Mike Marshal and i was blown away. The clarity and tone color was at my master models level. I was extremely impressed.

Scott,
Thank you for reviving this. I have been keeping the list updated on the facebook page Gibson Master Model Registry....
I played that A4 at Elderly last week, it is incredible. You should buy it.
I know that with a top the opens all the way, I don’t have to worry about it closing when I’m not ready and putting a ding in my instrument.
I don’t think you can go wrong these. Harvey era ferns sound amazing and their fit and finish is grade above previous eras.
My recurve grey is working perfect. No complaints. I travel about once every other month and it goes with me.
My cat also used it as a scratch post once, so it has a few snags on the front but no...
My 2002 MM is getting more worn every day. It is subtle, but i like it.
Beautiful Fern. I love the back, very unique.

I am waiting for the Bill Monroe Barber Shop edition. One that looks exactly like...
I’ve played the one that Mike Marshall has and it is spectacular in every way, very responsive, tons of tone color, sweet yet powerful, and tons of headroom. The Northfield guys really nailed it...
The current gibson mandolins being built under the supervision of Dave Harvey are amazing. My dad has a 2007 F9 that is flat out awesome.
That was incredible. I love it.
Mr. Halsey is a true master.
