Andrew made me a GOM, that I treasure. His work is tastful. The tone is awesome. He is also great to work with. I strongly recommend his work. I did play an F5 at IBMA a couple of years ago. ...
The fit & finish of my Mowry F5 is second to none, just a beautiful instrument. The sound just makes you want to keep playing for days; can't tell you how many nights have drifted off into the wee...
I think here it is simply a matter of people deciding they should sell an instrument they may not be using or simply want to upgrade. It gives them a nudge to list it if they see mention or a thread....
Andrew's work is pretty much perfect. He's a heck of a smart fellow.
Mark. Your A5 is amazing. Love that one piece back.
I'm an A5 kinda guy. The Mowry is the only F5 i've owned.
But I couldn't pass it up.
Hope you don't mind me posting a few pic's of your baby....
There's only one word for Andrews work. Perfect.

Thank you...
Zak Borden's videos opened up a whole new way to construct chords for me.

Not to hijack the thread, but I watched Dixie's video and then I watched several more by her. Great lady. Heck, she deserves her own thread!
My guess is that making a living solely as a bluegrass mandolin player is next to impossible. I would think you would need to be able to play excellently in a number of styles, and (again, just...
I was very sorry to hear that David had passed away. I knew him well back in the 80's, when he was starting out and I was working in the tonewood industry. He did indeed make some very fine, unique...
My personal passions are mandolins, violins, and hopefully one day the lute itself. I've been playing the mandolin for about two years now and am starting lessons with violin as well.
One day I'd...
Reverb41, that's the first Sucek with tone bars I'm aware of. As of late last summer/early fall when me and Daikin ordered ours I was told he only makes X-bracing.
Y'really think the XF will sound...
