This is a very good mandolin. Old spruce top old maple back.
Here's the last econo for 2019. Distressed redwood topped and sugarmaple back.;)
Just finished this one. Been a long time since I've posted anything. Not been well.:(
I've just finished a Fantasma from sinker wood. Thus the dark marks at the bottom. I think this is a monster of a mandolin.:mandosmiley:
Thanks so much Steve, I think you were more patient than I was. I was actually thinking about hand delivering the 2nd one. Switzerland would make a nice little vacation for Laura and I. I remember...
Hey Skip, that mandolin has a look about it, got lots of character and personality. Not a cookie cutter mandolin. Felizatasiones:mandosmiley:
I really like that one Skip. Nice soft finish too. I haven't done much lately. Been sick.
I think this one has more resolution
Here is the 2nd Silverangel in 2019
Just strung up!:mandosmiley:
Just finished this one, a little different.
Here's what I have of mandocando mandolin.
nice work Skip. We just finished an A with red spruce. It pops like a pistol.
Just strung this one up today. It's a nice one.
This is a nice one.:mandosmiley:
yea Skip, the sinker top. It's a one piece top too. I sure don't have an unlimited supply of these. I'm surprised at how it sounds. Stringing another one today with the bookmatched mate to this one....
no, I've never posted this one. I've been building quite a few of these. It's my own design and I love building them. This one sure has tone. Power and bottom end. Plays so easy too. I'm stringing...
Just finished this one. Actually it's a 2017 model that my dog knocked off it's stand and busted the top beyond repair. So, I made another top out of some rare redwood sinker. I'ts 150 year old wood...
beautiful Skip. Glad you are making good use of that wood.
moving right along......
PM me and I will give you details on these.
Mandolin found!! Showed up in Kansas City finally. What a relief. Thanks to all who advised.

Well, I've been busy. When you see blood on your mandolin while wet sanding, then you know you've got too many mandolins in progress. Come by my booth in Nashville and try some out.
Look forward to...
Just finished a couple of ovals. Haven't made very many of these. Three actually.:))
