Only my personal opinion but I think a 23” inch scale is more suitable for GDAE and 21” scale is just perfect for CGDA.

CGDA on a 20” baritone ukulele is not as easy as GDAE to get it sounding good but in theory C 38w G 28w D 30p A.20p will give around 55lb of tension.

I am much more comfortable using a 20 -21” scale for CGDA, it just makes the tension more even and relaxed.
I personally think GDAE works better on a 22-24” scale otherwise the G feels...

Yes there are classical tenor guitars available, the one you linked has a very wide neck that might be ok for you if you are coming from a six string background but, otherwise may be quite difficult...

Blueridge is the best of the bunch and a very good guitar but, not a cheap option in the UK.
Some tenor guitars use a tailpiece and could use loop ends.
I guess if you were mega keen you could remove the balls from old strings and fit them to loop end strings but buying single guitar...

I have not owned one but I have picked one up in the shop, nice size and shape, seems well built.
They do a cut away version as well, if you want a hardwood tenor I think they look like a good buy....
I did already post the string gauges back up the page but for a 23” scale 12p 20w 30w 45w are very well tried and tested.
It wont make any difference if the sting is 8-9 -10 -11 the pull weight will be more but the the tension will still be near the breaking stain ….. most folk use .10.

Yep a very common problem with the A string on 23” tenors, the easy way out is to change the tuning from CGDA to GDAE.
You would require new strings 12p 20w 30w 45w but you can persevere with the...
