I went to see it. The neck was straight, but there was a shim under the rosewood bridge. The bridge was not in place. I didn't try to move it as there was a small, almost invisible crack going from...
I looked at it again and the pick guard actually matched the island of Sicily

I found this one on our local market. I have too many mandolins but the asking price is around 65 USD. I am very tempted to get myself a Christmas present. I already have a flat back...
I made this a few years back but did not publish it. It's from Caro Munier Guitar method.
Divertimento. The book has some interesting pieces for mandolin.
It's not the complete Divertimento, sorry,...
Thanks Jairo. The site is of great value.
I join you in thanking Martin Jonas and Sheri Mignano. I have used the scores they shared over the years.
Update. I got an immediate reply and was granted access. I am exploring the site and trying to figure out how to use it :)
Thanks again

Merry Christmas
We used the score is from this site. (http://www.janwolters.nl/jwfree5-uk.html)
We recorded this in October, that's why I was...
This was very nice, you kept your tempo better than I did.
To tell the truth. Paul my friend playing the guitar wanted to use the capo, but I did not want to place it on my Alhambra guitar. (he was...

I wouldn't tie a strap to the tail piece, you risk hurting the instrument. These are rather old and fragile.
I usually play seated but on youtube you can find some players playing the bowl back...
Congrats. That's a fine instrument. Enjoy learning and playing
I have one, but not in such good conditions, but it still plays well and has a beautiful sound.
Here is another thread about Vincenzo...
Beautiful piece. Saw it this morning on your channel. I always enjoy your playing. Thanks for sharing.
I played a trantella calabrese too. I got the score from the Mandolin Cafe. A little bit slow but can pass

Beautiful playing. Thanks for sharing. I too prefer the bowlback :)
Must of been discussed here a lot.
I really love my Acetal picks 1 mm thick, but noticed they wear fast. I have been doing a lot of tremolo exercises lately.
My 0.90mm Ultem picks show less wear...
Oops. I attached the guitar duet arrangement. There is a mandolin and guitar arrangement on the same page on your right:

Here is another tarantella I found in Musicaneo, posted by Sergej Kolgan available as a free download (https://www.musicaneo.com/sheetmusic/sm-86513_tarantella.html)
It does sound very much Italian...
Congrats. We'll be waiting for that sound clip
It will require some work, but you haven't paid anything for it. My guess is it should cost less than a new good mandolin and will sound better than a new mandolin once restored. Check with a luthier...
A back split is not a problem and if well repaired should not affect the sound.
The bridge is not placed in the correct place. It can harm the top. Check the picture of the other mandolin you...
