Sounds good!
This is one of the tunes I've been working on with the treble viol that I'm renting (I really have too many instruments that I'm trying to perfect...)
But figured it's a nice tune for the mandola....
Also, keep in mind, that the 4 course mandolin tuned in 5ths, never really achieved acceptability until say, the mid 1800s. The mandolin (or mandolino) in 4ths or later, 5ths, was never really ...
Definitely check out the book, Early Mandolin by James Tyler and Paul Sparks....

I got my hands on this really fantastic Trinity College Mandola and of course had to record something.
Nicely done as always!
They look great!

Nice job as always.
Nice work!

Nicely done!
Awesome work. I'll have to check out these duets.
I've been listening to the Chieftains pretty much my entire musical career. Really my first exposure (that I can remember) to traditional Irish music. It was sad hearing of his passing.
My 9 year old keeps asking me when I'm only going to play my octave mandolin so he can have my Eastman. It's a good problem to have.
Here's a more classically-influenced miniature.

Learned this tune from John Reischman's peghead nation course (Melodic Mandolin Tunes?), and decided to write a variation for it too.

I attached the sheet music for it too.
