If you can determine the size you can order a thin wall socket that would help minimize the amount of wood that needs to be removed.

I have always had trouble with the idea of a half diminished chord. To me it is a m7b5. If you b a m7, it isn't a 7 anymore it is a 6.

I know Aria Pro II from their electric guitars and basses. The mid 70's through the late 80's made in Japan are considered the best of these.
