La Tarentaise (French mazurka)

This is a French mazurka which I learned from the (now-offline) French session tunebook by Tourne a l'Aube posted by Simon a while ago. The composer is given as Philippe Prieur, who wrote it around 1970. Although this is not clear from the book, I suspect it is named after the Tarentaise valley in Savoie in the French Alps, rather than the Italian city of Taranto ("Tarente" in French).

    Thanks for the comments!

As the original site for the Tourne a l'Aube songbook is now down, I've just uploaded it to the Cafe (Link). For those who want to try it, "La Tarentaise" is tune #294, on page 97.
