Good morning, This is my first post here. What a great site. I have owned my first mandolin for nine days now (Fender CT-100) and I am really enjoying it. I stumbled on the 'Cafe while reading up on beginner mandolins a few weeks ago and here I am. I've been playing guitar and bass in rock bands for years but have always respected the real musicians who played folk / bluegrass. I decided to give the fiddle a try a few years ago it is a lot of fun but man what a learning curve. Im still sawing on it but wanted to give the mandolin a try. I had no idea the tuning was the same so as a bonus I already knew a few melodies on the mandolin. That's enough about me. I'm looking forward to hanging out and learning. PS. I already have a bad case of GAS or shall I say MAS thanks to this site but I will manage somehow (I see a Kentucky KM-252 in my future...) Mike
