This week's winner is Walk Along John to Kansas, which is an Old Time tune. Here is a link to notation on abcnotation.com
The tune is fun to listen to. For those of us who like a pdf with chords I found this: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...a7J841QBFtD7Df
That's great, thanks Frithjof
I like this version I found while searching:
Three and a half week gone and I’m the first to post something … Hope there are other vids in the pipeline.
Nice version of this Old Time tune, Frithjoff! I like the sound and the looks of your flattop mando. BTW, this song is on my to-do list...
Good job Frithjof. That is a nice sounding mandolin too.
My first Non-Waltz in what seems like ages, I wanted to make this tune sound as OLD-timey as possible:
Thanks, crisscross and Robert. And nice version by yourself, crisscross. I like the discreet guitar bassline.
Two great efforts with an old time feel! Well done!
This is another work in progress. Since I've figured out how to do quick-and-easy videos of pretty good quality on my iPad using an Apogee iOS condenser mic, I've been inclined to makes a series of videos for self-critique & improvement on the tunes I'm trying to polish. Videos don't lie! This version benefits from issues I spotted on yesterday's video. Might update. BTW, that's Otto the cat in the window. He sat up there for an hour, waiting for Korah to come home to provide the evening kitty meal. Our three cats have a very well developed sense of time and understanding of who feeds them.
Mike, this version sounds great to me. Now I’m anxious to listen to your improved version.
For a work in progress, it is a fine version, Mike.
