This week's winner is New River Train, which was submitted as an old time "D" tune. I'm on the road, posting from my phone, so I'm depending on some of our helpful members to link to some notation and videos! Thanks!!

Thanks, David!!
Tune from Dix Bruce's Parking Lot Picker's Songbook. My crosspicking arrangement in G.
i enjoyed that Maudlin , how people manage to play and sing at the same time is beyond me , so well done.
Well done maudlin mandolin! Not any easy tune to play and sing that's for sure! Checking back on the various Songs of the Week I've missed, I noticed this one. It's a favorite. Here is the New River Train played in the key of D with mandolin, two guitars and added lead and harmony vocals. (Lots of overdubs on this one!)
Great Job Michael. It sounds like an old recording of our great music heroes from the early days.
I do agree. That sounds very oldtimy to me, Michael. And maudlin - I tried this crosspicking a little but coudn't sing along.
Very well done!
Great vintage sound, Michael!
