Another beautiful waltz by Jay and Molly, that I tried to play on my A oval-hole mandolin and my classical guitar:

Really nice playing and recording, congratulations.

I love this melody. Think I'll give it a go. Keeping in mind I am slower than everyone else. Lovely playing CC, with just the right amount of tremolo.

Another fine effort, Christian. Thanks for link to the music too - as Ginny says, one to try.

    Maybe a do-together John...?

Just what I was thinking, Ginny.

    Another nice waltz, Christian.
I’m looking forward to your collaboration, Ginny and John.

Really nice! And your multi-track technique has become very good too. It sounds very natural, like a live duo.

Thanks to every one! I read somwhere, that the tune was composed for the 125th anniversary of Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohonk_Mountain_House
But that was after I had made my generic Mountain House video...

Yesterday, I put together a video with pictures of Mohonk Mountain House, its founders and surroundings.
For a little musical diversity, I played the mandolin part on my bowlback:

I like both versions CC - and I like the pics from both too. One has cool looking cabins in the mountains and one has history and then a giant spa castle (I looked it up after your previous comment) Tonally I think I like the first one better. But both are excellent.

Another fine effort, CC. I thought I would have a go, having listened to the tune and really enjoyed it. My version is played on mandolin, electric and acoustic guitars and an actual bass guitar this time! Pictures of Loch Loskin, my favourite little loch very near my home.

    Sounds very beautiful John!
You seem to live in idyllic surroundings...

Following on from John and Christian's mandolin versions, here is my recording of this Jay Ungar waltz. I'm playing it on bouzouki with tenor guitar accompaniment, based on the transcription from the Southern Maryland Open Band tunebook at:

And your third in a day, Martin. Great burst of activity, my man. Fine delivery once again.
Interesting to hear this fine melody revived after almost four years and only two previous postings, mine and Christian's.
