The Vanagon Waltz is a folky/old-time waltz written by Rachel Rosenberg, which I found by chance when I was trying to find the score for "Stars For Liesbeth" as posted by Robert Balch. This lovely waltz is literally the next tune in the "Carp Camp" tunebook at: http://www.threebeansalad.net/files/...nniversary.pdf I had to look up the name to realise "Vanagon" was what Volkswagen called the Transporter T3 in the US market, so that gave me a visual theme. Played on an old Gibson mandolin and tenor guitar. 1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin Vintage Viaten tenor guitar Martin PS: I will get around to recording Liesbeth as well!
Martin, I tried to copy both a pdf and a photo of the tabs and standard notation for Stars for Liesbeth...but this is not allowing mt to..if you have any ideas how to do that, let me know. I think, but am not sure that Robert put it in as an a b c..and I asked John Kelly to convert it for me. Also, this is a very nice waltz, nicely done.
Nice waltz, beautifully played, Martin! Thanks for the link to the tunebook. It has a nice mixture of well known and less well known tunes.
Thanks again for introducing this nice waltz, Martin! Today I recorded my version:
I found the last video a little lacking in volume, so I made a new mix. Hope that has a little more dynamics...
