In 1788, the sea captain Alan Morrison sailed from Lewis to Harris to marry Anna Campbell but didn't make it - his ship sank. This is Anna's lament for her dark-haired Alan.

I borrowed some stylistic hints from Rembrandt van Rijn and Edvard Munch for the visual part here.

Bertram that’s serious, my man! Really well played.
Beautifully sung too and the colours, great and the fade to the painting at the end is magical.

As Simon says (see what I've done there?), the whole thing is very arty, a proper music video! Regina's singing sounds like the echo of another world.

Regine performed this mournful elegy such beautiful. Your accompaniment give a good support to her voice, Bertram.
This video is a true piece of art.

Very haunting, Bertram and Regina. As Simon says (I'm doing it too, Dennis) a serious creative piece.

Thanks all, and I must admit to two things:

    - of course, there is a better version of this song out there
    - this is the first time I heard about that "Simon says" thing

Regards from Regina to all, and especially to you, John.
