last tune with the Shippey cherry A5 before its goes to its new home, had a bee in my bonnet about trying a ten string so Paul is making me an Axe ( flat top, carved back) ten string, the first one he's made with that compo, so excited about that. recording is a bit rough, been playing the banjo all morning so the jump to mandolin threw me a bit , will miss this mandolin, sounds good even played here with a nylon 60 pick.
Great wee tune and a very good sound from your instrument, not to mention very fine and clean picking!
Solid and expressive as usual, Lawrence. And I like the tee shirt
Awesome triplets too!
Lovely stuff Lawrence, very clean picking indeed!
Great tune and playing! And I like the shirt. Keep on closing the hate tag
What can I say that hasn't already been said? We're lucky to have you sharing all these great videos so regularly. Relaxed, fluent, good rhythm: an example to follow, as usual.
We certainly will miss the sound of your Shippey cherry A5. Fortunately there are all the vids you posted for SAW social group. On the other hand we hopefully will be honored to listen to your playing on the ten string. Exciting.
