Northumbrian polka-like tune (the slight hesitation at the end of each measure gives an indication)
    Written in the late 1920’s.

A catchy tune and a good Polka, Simon. Well played as always.

Thanks John, I found it in my red book which is where all the odd and neglected tunes (for many different reasons) are consigned.
I actually like it a lot, it does sound Northumbrian or Scottish lowlands to me -if that’s the correct term.
I think it could actually be played a lot faster, but on the pipes.

That red book seems to include some fine tunes and you play them very well, Simon.

    Thanks Jess and Christian.
Up next. Might do a Christmas set with a flurry of Carols.

An intelligent, modestly subdued parlor style of white-wigged baroque (as opposed to wild whacky pint-swigging rave), so I'll call this "Nerd on the Still"
