Hey guys, since having got my F-5 JM I've run 3 differant sets of strings on it, the Gibson Sam Bush, J-75's, J-74's, and now GHS silk and bronze, they all sound good but I think I'll hang with the GHS cause they have the 0.16 A's and the 0.40's are easier on my hands. But I will say this these JM's are so good that they sound great no matter the strings. I continue to be amazed by this instrument. Even if in the future I am able to afford another mandolin, I don't think any other could please me more.
I need some new strings and will have to decide what to order
Morgan Music sold me a couple of sets of J-74's. I liked the Gibson strings that came on it and was a little afraid to take them off, but the J-74's sound fine.
