Thank you for so much care and happiness, which means a lot these days. It's difficult for us to judge whether the world was better in the days when this tune was written, but it was probably simpler. In any case, it's a dance tune, so let the music take our worries away. I'm excited about this tune because it was a chance discovery from my home country, but also because it's a first outing for my newest instrument. In addition to my Fylde Touchstone Walnut mandolin, Blue Moon octave mandola and Clarke tin whistle, I play my new GT Instruments cornamuse. My technique and pitch still need a lot of work, of course, but this is good enough to show you.
That's a festive rendition of the Schwabisch Dennis. It sounds faithful to the time period. I did have to look up what a cornamuse was.
Great, Dennis. You delivered a happy version of the tune. I would suggest to play it on a medieval market place to some dancers.
Very authentic Dennis, I love this one! The cornemuse sounds great. And good to see you posting again.
Great video and playing, Dennis, and such a range of imstrumental prowess. Great wee tune too.
