This waltz written by Evelyn is very popular with everybody in our weekly mandolin gatherings, for its melodramatic spaghetti western feel. My earlier recording (and another one by woodenfingers) is in the collective thread for Evelyn's tunes here, but I've started a new thread for it so that each tune has its home. 1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin (x2) Vintage Viaten tenor guitar Suzuki MC-815 mandocello Martin
You bring out the melodramatic spaghetti western feel of Evelyn’s waltz very well, Martin. I understand that your mandolin group like it.
The Gibson seems none the worse of its misadventure! Evelyn wrote some very atmospheric tunes.
Thanks, John and Frithjof. Yes, the Gibson seems to have come through OK -- not obvious change in playability, intonation or tone and the neck joint looks solid. Martin
