Two Scottish tunes got from Nigel Gatherer's website, The Gathering. This is a great source of Scottish music. The first is by Nathaniel Gow and the second traditional. I have played them on mandolin, octave and guitar.

Refreshing tunes that go well together, thanks John.
    Spring is almost here.

Very nice, John! They do sound like springtime tunes. I'd like to learn them.

There is a distinct feeling of looking forward to something. Makes you want to march along. The right mood for a brisk walk down to the pub.

Ah, two hours of Fell walking in the stormy spring rain.

‘I must get out of these wet clothes and into a dry martini.’

Since you recently objected to having your music called "pretty", I'll just say that this was really well played with great rhythm, and not pretty at all. But that last point would be inaccurate.

Great effort there, Simon, and very fine picking. I could do with that jumper of yours here just now - we are the midst of Storm Ciara and have been hammered by gales, torrential rain and now wet snow. Roll on Springtime!

Thanks guys, went cycling today and browsed an old record shop in Lyon. 1970īs memorabilia.
Weather here is great now (15C/59F).

Just saw the forecast for Scotland, storms of SNOW.
John, pm me your address, and I’ll send the jumper, or you can at least keep it to lend to visitors!

Blue skies and a wee lull before Storm Dennis heads in at the weekend, Simon, so please retain the jumper for the moment! Very kind gesture from you, as I am sure it must add something to your playing - but certainly not any sort of woolly feel!
