This one is on the disputed list of O'Carolan tunes and although it's listed as an O'Carolan tune in O'Neill's, it bears an uncanny resembelance to "The Ash Grove". I'm not sure which tune came first but I like Beauty in Tears over The Ash Grove.
Lovely. Thanks!
Lovely stuff David!
Excellent, BUT... The title sounds much more like a modern painting than an O'Carolan tune. I mean it doesn't even begin with "Planxty"...
Thanks Bertram, you just gave me the title to my next tune, Planxty BUT!
...making future generations wonder which nobleman this was dedicated to.
Beauty in Tears is alovely tune, and your version, Mr.Hansen, superb as always! Mr. Henze, your sense of humor is superb, as always!
Nicely played and beautifully recorded.
Nice tune, David. I recorded it many years ago, in a barebones solo version straight from O' Neill's: Martin
Very nice Martin, I got my version from O'Neill's as well.
