I'm a total beginner, and have only completed one instrument (from a kit): http://imgur.com/a/11gZ2 And now am working on what is likely to be a cittern: http://imgur.com/a/RXB0p I just ordered new back and side woods since I broke the original tamarind back as soon as I touched jigsaw to it. This time, I'm going for black limba for the back and sides. I still need to figure out a way to finance a bandsaw to rip the sides to size (I'm poor). I also got some fine top woods and neck blank from my friend Nikos Apollonio, a matched set of Andirondack spruce, a matched set of cedar and a very fine cumaru neck blank! Onward!
