Hi Weber Fans! I'm the proud owner of a new Weber Gallatin A oval hole from the Mando Shop for Christmas. Kyle did a nice job setting up of the instrument. I've played Irish Traditional music on uilleann pipes and whistle for about 15 years and also play guitar. I'm having a blast finding the tunes on the mandolin. No reeds to mess with, I can just pick it up and play. I pick a few tunes on the guitar but the setup of a mandolin seems much more intuitive (linear?). I purchased the Marla Fibish DVD to help get me started. Great fun and a great instrument. Cheers Mike
I got a Gallatin F Faded Leather (not soprano) from Kyle. Great set up great mandolin - although I believe it was the last Gallatin F Kyle sold. I don't see them on the Weber web site, so I guess my mando has been discontinued...?...
