swimming in a sea of colour

Swimming in a sea of colour - that when playing scales. Starting in the snowy linen clarity of g minor, I alow my fingers to move, cautiously from fret to fret, until I produce a antique silvery ringing sound. Back and forth my fingers journey and like a spider knows the concentrik threads of an argent web, my fingers move along the linen white track of G minor. At last they need to follow the lilacy icy move coloured path of D major. I again allow them to make their way cautiously and as some confidence builds, I allow the journey to increase in speed. - of course only a fraction.

I move on, to the crimson brightness of A major. It feels as if I am going round and round on a roundabout - around me lights of different colours and I am always cautious not to fall off into the abyss of unevenly ringing mandolin strings.

Swimming in a sea of colour

    Playing scales.
The snowy linen clarity of G minor,
Antique silvery ring springs from my cautious fingers cautious,
    fret to fret,

    A spider’s journey
Across concentric threads of an argent web,
The linen white track of G minor captures the mind like a fly.
The spider wanders to find the lilacy icy coloured path of D major.

Again they make their way cautiously
    increasing in speed,
Finding the crimson brightness of A major.
Round and round the spider of my hand
Engenders a Kaliedescope of colour and
Always cautious not to fall into the abyss of
    unevenly ringing mandolin strings.
