I've just posted a recording I did of this Neapolitan song over in the "Celtic/European Folk" section, but it may be useful to repeat it here in the Italian group, too.

I've been playing around with my new Zoom H2n, and have been using it as a USB microphone to record this classic 1932 Neapolitan song. The song was originally written for the early Vittorio de Sica movie "Gli uomini, che mascalzoni....", and sung by de Sica in the film. Lead and harmony on my 1890s Umberto Ceccherini bowlback, rhythm on tenor guitar.

I first heard this in the 1970s recording by Matteo Casserino, which is now freely downloadable from Bruce Zweig's Matteo site:

My version sticks to the original Matteo chart from Bruce's site (Link), with added second mandolin harmony by Sheri Mignano.

    Downloadable MP3 on Soundcloud here.
