I've been waiting for a five-string fiddle to accompany my Apitius 10-string mandolin for nearly 20 years and FINALLY got one. I know what to do with the C string, but the geometry of the bowing is a bit of a learning curve. Oh well, never to late. Oh yeah, I've got a five-string Fender mandocaster as well, so I'm properly fitted out for any situation.
It sounds like you are set. I would love to see a picture of your Apitius!
